Project scope

This customer came across Constant Power Solutions when searching for the perfect power solution. The client, required a precautionary measure that would work to prevent loss of time and money due to a lack of power supply, following the surge of power cuts nationally.

Working in collaboration with the customer, our sales team analysed the design spec and specialised each component of the genset to design a power system perfect for the customer and their needs.

Generator Spec

After carful analysis, we opted for a AS300S, 300kva Diesel Generator with a Scania Engine. We then added an Automatic transfer switch for uninterrupted power transfer to the Diesel Generator after mains failure and a water jacket heater to aid in cold starts. The customer also required a junction box that allows additional external connection to the generator. This means that appliances can be powered by the generator without being connected to the compound’s electricity mains. Paired with this, we also included 10 meters of 8 x 250mm cables.

Once the Genset was complete, it was delivered safely to site! Our CPS engineers then also provided generator installation and commissioning to ensure that it is fitted and ready to run correctly. This process includes inspections and testing by our qualified engineers and electricians to spot any issues or liabilities. The client also opted for a Water Jacket Heater to aid in heating the engine during cold conditions- these are perfect for both back-up and prime operation generators as it allows the system to start faster and more efficiently.
